UK SUPPLIED 1975 HONDA 400 FOUR WITH 8,820 MILES HAVING HAD A LOT OF MAN HOURS SPENT ON HER.
THIS IS THE 2nd 70's BIKE I HAVE BOUGHT OFF A MAN WHO SPENDS A LOT OF TIME IN HIS SHED! HE DOES RESTORATION WORK FOR DAVID SILVER BUT THIS IS ONE OF HIS HAVING DONE THE FOLLOWING WORK: NEW "DID" RIMS (not cheap ones) PLUS SPOKES, PERIOD TYRES & INNER TUBES, INDICATORS, MASTER CYLINDER, BRAKE PADS, SEALS, SEAT, OIL & FILTER, HEADLAMP LENS. CHAIN & SPROCKETS, BATTERY & MIRRORS...POWDER COATED FRAME & SWING ARM. SO AS YOU CAN SEE AN AWFUL LOT TO MAKE THIS A STUNNING EXAMPLE
It looks to me like he has done various other bits but not told me all of what was done. I believe may be original front & rear mudguards as some very minor patina BUT virtually all the bike is exceptional. Footpegs are mintside panels are excellent, tank very good, instruments good & whilst not quite concoursit is nice that not everything is new/replaced & it does have a little patina plus concours ones are now fetching £7-8,000 and prices rising all the time.
OWNED BY A MRS VICTORIA CATTERALL FROM 2004 to 2011 WHEN SHE SOLD IT, THEN IT REMAINED OFF THE ROAD UNTIL NOW BEING RECOMMISSIONED. THE PREVIOUS OWNER A MR DONALD SERGEANT HAD OWNED IT FROM 1993 to 2004 I HAVE NO HISTORY AND CANNOT THEREFORE PROVE THE MILEAGE BUT THE ENGINE SOUNDS EXTREMELY QUIET & SMOOTH AND SHE IS A VERY SORTED GENUINE UK BIKE NOT AN AMERICAN IMPORT LIKE SO MANY ARE.
Obviously now tax & MOT exempt so with all new tyres etc. ready to ride & enjoy!
