JUST 13,728 MILES - THESE EARLYNAKED GOLDWINGS ARE HUGELY UNDERVALUED RIGHT NOWFirstly, this is an American import, which I believe accounts for the lovelyoriginal non rusty/corroded condition. Imported by a collector last year for hisprivate collection he spent a lot of time sourcing a good, original early "Wing"and then had the carbs rebuilt/cleaned & balanced, new tyres, and registered in his nameThis year he set up a new business & decided to thin out his collection. It also looks likebrakes/discs/fluids were recently doneI cannot believe what a bargain these are right now & for sure will suddenly catch on,looking at the price of 400 Fours, 550 & 750 Fours these docile mile munching Wingsare just a great all round bikeNOW ... THE THORNY SUBJECT OF CONDITION ...WHILST NOT CONCOURS THIS IS AN EXTREMELY WELL PRESENTED EXAMPLE THATOVER THE LAST 42 YEARS HAS AGED VERY VERY WELL. THE ORIGINAL PAINTWORKHAS A COUPLE OF MARKS BUT IS OVERALL AS GOOD AS IT GETS FOR THIS PRICE RANGETHERE ARE NO DENTS, SCRAPES, DINGS OR RUST ON THE PAINTWORK OR FRAME THATI CAN FIND. THE FRAME IS FANTASTIC, ESPECIALLY AROUND HEADSTOCK AREA THATON MOST BIKES (especially being a naked) TAKES A HAMMERINGCHROMEWORK IS ALSO EXCELLENT WITH SOME VERY MINOR "PATINA" HERE & THEREBUT AGAIN THE RARE ORIGINAL CHROME EXHAUSTS ARE VERY CLEAN INDEEDWITH ONE OR TWO MARKS & A LITTLE SURFACE RUST IN THE HIDDEN AREASBUT THEY ARE 42 YEARS OLD!One key fits all 4 locks on the bike & everything worksexcept indicators which just need connecting up. They were taken off the bike (for transport ease) & I literally chucked them on when I 1st got the bike to go out on & have not bothered reconnecting the snipped wiresShe starts on the button with no smokes, rattles or untoward sounds & engine wines like a turbine. I have no history (just V5) & therefore cannot verify the mileage but if you see the bikein person & hear the engine everything points to it being genuine.
