Superb looking & lovingly restored (another COVID one!) 1981 HONDA CB900F in fine fettle!
So few of these around right now, especially in this condition & ready to ride. I rode it home 55 miles it was great.
This is an original UK example which are becoming seriously rare already & it's main owner had it for 28 years & 9 months up until Jan '22 when the next owner bought & RESTORED IT. The last MOT before 2022 was in 2011 at 44,409 miles so ignore the current speedo BUT this bike has had some major love, money & TLC spent on it & the engine is quiet, starts on the button with no rattles or smoke (definitely had work done I just can't tell you what). It is HPI clear but sadly I do not have any records of what works were done (and if that previous owner reads this, please please contact me so I can let the new owner know) BUT he/she definitely went to town on it & for sure the engine has been checked over/ had work done as well.
You need to come and see & hear it - truly a lot & I mean a lot of time, blood, sweat, money & tears must have been utilised to get it looking like this. Not quite one for the purists however, easily "corrected" if that is what you want (I see them as enhancements personally). For example it has the much nicer & IMHO better looking CB1100F cast alloy "Comcast" wheels together with more aesthetically pleasing CB1100F rearsets, a full 4 into 2 MARVING replica exhaust system & a beautifully, luxuriously, leather reupholstered GUILIARI seat which is very plush & really suits the lines of the tail end fairing. It has the "pretty" pod filters & braided brake lines.
Otherwise mostly factory with the clip on handle bars, beautiful resprayed paintwork, I have to assume engine out powder coated frame & excellent switchgear (look like NOS). Everything works, starts on the button, gearbox is very slick & brakes excellent as they have just been overhauled (of the SIX CB900F's I have now owned/ ridden this is by far the best STOPPER!). Tyres are excellent too. I have 2 keys & the V5, clear HPI report, original sales brochure (and that's all) BUT will do an oil & filter change for new owner as I do not know when last done - although it has only done 700 miles since being put back on the road after restoration in 2022.
So, that's it, sorry it's a long read BUT it needs explaining because this is a wonderful bike.
