I bought the bike off an absolute gent of retirement age who bought it new back in 1998 as a "parallel" import directly from the dealer which was very common back in the day, if demand outstripped supply to satisfy demand & it still retains the original dealer number plate. He worked abroad a lot which explains the low mileage & a friend looked after it in his absence who for insurance purposes did register it in his name BUT never rode it & I can assure you it is a genuine one owner bike Complete with the fully inter-changeable pannier set which is marked but a bonus if you plan to tour, I have the v5, owners manual & tool kit but no service book which he has misplaced I'm afraid but with such low mileage & if you listen to the engine it is whisper quiet & I have no reason to doubt his assurance that it was regularly serviced & sounds brand new. He had the carbs all cleaned & balanced just before selling & MOT done in June THE CONDITION IS EXCELLENT AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PHOTOS & VIDEO, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING IT IS A 26 YEAR OLD BIKE & THE PAINTWORK IS SUPERB. SO SO MUCH BIKE FOR YOUR MONEY & BECAUSE THEY HAVE QUITE A CULT FOLLOWING WILL PROBABLY HOLD ITS VALUE WELL TOO. A REALLY GENUINE LOW MILEAGE 1 OWNER EXAMPLE NOT TO BE MISSED

TRY FINDING ANOTHER ONE GENUINE UK BIKE WITH GENUINE 57 MILES ONLY - KEY LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE IS AS NEW & COMES WITH ORIGINAL TYRES, DEALER NUMBER PLATE & KEY FOB. JUST LOOK AT THE FASTENINGS & FIXINGS TO SEE HOW PRISTINE THEY ARE & PROOF IT HAS BEEN DRY STORED IN A LIVING ROOM! Passed on to the 2nd owner by his boss who rode it into work just the once then it was never ridden again. In old age he gifted it & then it was put in his living room as a Ducati "objet d'art" and it has stayed there UNTIL NOW & is ready for the next discerning custodian to hopefully carry forward the baton of this charmed 748 I have the owners manual, tool kit, original owners & current V5 & frankly think it has never been serviced. I connected up the power & it instantly flicked into life with all electrics working & indicators, lights etc. etc. ... then just momentarily touched the start button to check the engine turned over (as we believe it was last started in 2010) & all good. Obviously I will not run it as belts etc. will need a full recommission & tank has had fuel syphoned out so tank is perfect & I suspect this will end up in a collection not run anyway, so better safe than sorry THERE ARE A COUPLE OF MINOR STORAGE SCUFFS ON THE MIRRORS & LEFT LOWER FAIRING & MARKS ON THE PILLION SEAT WHICH I HAVE HILIGHTED - BUT THEY ARE VERY MINOR & SHOWS ALL ORIGINAL PROVENANCE AS THE BIKE IS LITERALLY UNTOUCHED - PAINT YOU CAN CORRECT - MILEAGE YOU CAN'T So, to sum up a fantastic genuine example of the "baby 916" with unrepeatable mileage & still beautiful, still special & STILL elegant, catch one while you can!

(original not included but there is another period 4 into 1) Here is a (non exhaustive) list of bits done since his ownership & he's only covered about 300 miles on it! The bike starts on the button, runs like a dream (and is still very swift if needed) Try finding another one. The bike was imported to UK way back in 2004 (believed to be originally from USA) & so has lots of MOT history etc. & comes with a clear HPI report showing just 2 previous owners - a true modern classic now registered as an historic vehicle

IF YOU KNOW ABOUT THESE THEN YOU WILL APPRECIATE THE BUILD QUALITY & JUST HOW SOUGHT AFTER THEY ARE - ESPECIALLY THE SP2 OVER THE SP1 WHEN THE FUELLING ISSUE WAS RECTIFIED & A FEW TWEAKS MADE TO IMPROVE AN ALREADY VERY IMPRESSIVE MACHINE This particular UK example is offered in excellent unmolested condition with just 19,600 miles, fully stamped service history in service book (including PDI) & last one January this year about 150 miles ago, 2 keys (one with original metal code tag on), tool kit, owners manual, MUST have original exhausts & uncut mudguard & all in its original livery & decals in extremely clean order throughout having just been detailed & has obviously had a pampered life. The only non-standard parts are the grips & a very useful PYRAMID rear hugger (still has original chain guard though) that I can see, otherwise beautifully factory standard THERE ARE SOME WILDLY OPTIMISTIC PRICES OF THESE CURRENTLY ON THE MARKET AS THEY ARE ALREADY COLLECTIBLE & RECOGNISED AS A DEFINITE FUTURE CLASSIC BUT I HAVE PRICED THIS ONE TO SELL DUE TO THE MARKET BEING TOUGHER AT THE MOMENT AND SURE THE NEXT CUSTODIAN WILL BE VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS ONE WANTING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING EXCEPT TO BE ENJOYED If you are looking for a very good example of an SP2 then I would recommend snapping it up quickly as most of the others seem to be over 10k or if very low mileage 13k! EARLY SC33 VARIANT IN FOR MY MONEY THE BEST LIVERY (I believe all original paintwork & decals) & BEFORE THE LATER ONES GOT ALL FAT & BLOATED FAIRINGS (THESE ARE MORE AKIN TO THE SC28) UK BIKE HAVING JUST TURNED 12,000 MILES & IN EXCELLENT CONDITION PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO TO SEE & HEAR Mostly standard factory apart from smoked screen, red brake lines, rear hugger & very expensive upgrade of NITRON adjustable gas shock & RACETECH fork internals. At 10,300 miles it had an eye watering FULL FULL service/overhaul when the shock was fitted, forks done, brakes overhauled, new spark plugs & loads of other work by "PDQ Motorcycle developments" to the tune of £2,377! (4 page invoice on file) in 2010, then has done virtually no miles since. COMPLETE WITH LOTS OF INVOICES/SERVICE HISTORY, 2 KEYS, ORIGINAL TOOL KIT, LOTS OF OLD MOT's (incl. 1st one) & OLD V5's I DON'T THINK YOU'LL FIND MUCH BETTER WITH SUCH LOW MILES AT THIS PRICE POINT & A GENUINE UK BIKE WITH CLEAR HPI REPORT ... BEING A HONDA AND AN EARLY FIREBLADE THIS IS A GREAT INVESTMENT PLUS A PRACTICAL RIDE. RUNS AS SWEET AS. HAVING JUST SPENT 15 HRS DETAILING (nearly finished!) I AM PLEASED TO OFFER A LOVELY EXAMPLE OF THIS 1st GENERATION ALREADY BECOMING COLLECTIBLE K1 "GIXXER" IN NEARLY TOTAL FACTORY STANDARD CONDITION, UNABUSED & JUST 28,000 MILES IN 23 YEARS & REPRESENTS AN AWFUL LOT OF BANG FOR YOUR BUCK OF PRACTICAL GOOD LOOKING OLD SCHOOL SUPER BIKE. I PARTICULARLY LIKE THE VERY RARE GREY/BLACK/SILVER LIVERY WHICH MAKES A CHANGE FROM THE BLUE/WHITE NORMALLY FOUND & HAS AGED VERY WELL. The bike has benefitted from new rear tyre, chain & sprockets, recent battery & comes with well stamped service book, 2 keys, a stack of paperwork including original PDI & early service invoices PLUS almost every MOT (MOT'd until next April 22nd), Alpha DOT paperwork, original pillion seat, Haynes manual & all important uncut rear mudguard & original exhaust & mirrors & indicators. This is a lovely, genuine un-molested UK example from new with a very early VIN & engine numbers being delivered in March '98 & in the now iconic white/red livery & red seats & "GRAFFITI" style graphics With only 16,977 miles from new, total of only 4 owners (last 2 Father & Son), 100% factory stock, comes with 3 keys, a stack of paperwork & service invoices, service book, loads of old MOT's dating back to 1st one in 2001, Haynes manual, original tool kit, datatagged (incl. paperwork) everywhere to show originality (including both mirrors!), some nice nostalgic memorabilia, original PDI & accompanying welcome Dealer letter & MOT until May next year The condition as you can see is superb throughout with only the tiniest of a couple of age related paint chips/marks which don't even show up in the photos & I have had the fairings off to clean inside & and make sure all good which it is, all original fixings & fasteners, no broken lugs etc. etc.. The last owner has just serviced the carbs with new needle jet set as apparently the little rubber gaskets had gone hard due to lack of use & also replaced the spark plugs whilst at it.
