Where to start with this one?
1 of only 2 specially commissioned K1 GSX-R1000's by StreetBike back in 2002 with a Dream Machine race replica "Frankie Chili" (he used to race the 600 & 750's in the same colours) Corona Alstare livery & not only is the bodywork signed by the man himself but there is a certificate of authenticity he has signed as well as signing the service book & owners manual.The bike has only done a genuine piffling 3,773 miles from new & only 2 keepers after being pre-registered by StreetBike presumably whilst having the work done on both bikes before sale. Essentially a 1 owner actually as the 2nd one wrestled it off his mate only last November as it had been sat in his garage since 2007 & was never going to be ridden. He then (as a mechanic) set about recommissioning the bike with new battery, fuel pump, plugs, oil & filter & carb clean then put a fresh MOT on it as of 31st January 2024. As a result it starts on the button & runs smoothly.I have all the original paperwork, books etc (signed as previously mentioned) together with original purchase invoice (Over 9k back in 2002!) even the original StreetBike fob & various invoices showing StreetBike also fitted a lovely sounding & not too loud ART exhaust system from new (titanium headers which are consequently immaculate) & smoked screen all showing in the paperwork. I was going to source an OEM silencer but decided as that was how the bike came new, then it was part of its originality. So the provenance is 2nd to none.The original paintwork has got a couple of very minor marks, I guess from storage & some slight spidering on the rear tail unit under the lacquer around the fixing bolts BUT there are no cracks, broken tabs, scratched engine casings or major scrapes & as you can see it looks very well indeed & dare I say it ... "They are only original once!". The worst feature are the gold/polished rims which could do with a respray ideally but I have deliberately left them as the new owner can decide what they prefer. (They were originally all gold from Dream Machine I believe). I have the pillion seat & even the pillion grab rail to go with it, the tool kit rubber strap but alas not the tool kit (very easily & cheaply sourced).So this is a really unique offering of the now desirable K1 "Gixxer" with incredibly low mileage, low owners & the all important authentic paperwork. Super rare livery & would look lovely in any collection. A lot of modern classic biking for very little money & a missile to boot!Temporary photos as I have nearly finished detailing then will take some more & a video if not already sold or weather allows me!
